Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Daaku Maharaj” Dominates Box Office with ₹75 Crore in 7 Days!

NBK’s Daaku Maharaj Creates Box Office Buzz with Impressive Collections!

NBK’s much-anticipated action drama Daaku Maharaj has taken the box office by storm, grossing an impressive ₹74.60 crore within its first week. Despite mixed reviews and tough competition from other major releases like Pushpa 2 and Sankranthiki Vasthunam, the film continues to draw audiences to theatres.

Released strategically on a Sunday to leverage the Pongal festival fervor, Daaku Maharaj opened with a massive ₹25.35 crore. The momentum remained strong through the festive period, earning ₹12.8 crore on Monday and ₹12.25 crore on Tuesday. However, collections began to taper mid-week, with Wednesday bringing in ₹9.75 crore and Thursday ₹6.25 crore. The film wrapped up its first week with ₹4.2 crore on Friday and an estimated ₹4 crore on Saturday.

While the ₹100 crore-budgeted film still has ground to cover to break even, there’s optimism that non-theatrical revenues like satellite and digital rights could help turn a profit.

Daaku Maharaj is an intense tale of a daring robber striving to establish his own territory amidst powerful adversaries. The movie also features Bollywood star Bobby Deol in a powerful antagonist role, adding star power to the narrative.

Social media has been abuzz with reactions to the film’s viral song Dabidi Dabidi, starring Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela. Addressing online criticism, Rautela took to X (formerly Twitter) to say, “It’s ironic how some who’ve achieved nothing feel entitled to criticize those who work tirelessly. Real power isn’t in tearing others down but in lifting them up and inspiring greatness.”

Though overshadowed by Sankranthiki Vasthunam’s remarkable ₹93.75 crore collection in five days, and with Pushpa 2 also in the fray, Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaj has cemented its position as a box-office success story.

The coming weeks will determine whether Daaku Maharaj can maintain its momentum and close in on its ₹100 crore goal. But for now, it’s safe to say that the film has made a solid impact in its opening week.

Will Balakrishna’s cinematic magic push Daaku Maharaj into profitability? Stay tuned for more updates!
